Major Russian Assaults Disrupt Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets targeted the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults succeed evenings of air raids in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were preparing for more assaults.
